The Biological Structures Group (BSG) is the largest group within the BCA and is primarily concerned with the determination of crystal structures of proteins and DNA. Additionally, there is also an interest in fibre diffraction studies of biological molecules. The group was formed in 1983 and has continued to grow since. Membership is obtained by joining the BCA and selecting BSG as the main field of interest. Although the BSG receives some funding from BCA central funds, most of our funding is raised from running meetings and the Summer School
